RTL - formerly RTL plus or RTL Television - is a German-language free-to-air television channel that is owned by the RTL Group. It is located in Cologne. RTL was established as an offshoot of Radio Luxemburg in German. It is the largest German private television network. RTL has approximately 500 employees and outsources its news and technical departments.

In September 2021, Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland (RTL Germany Media Group) was renamed RTL Deutschland. Both the group and channel were given new branding and logos as part of the rebrand.
