Orf 1 Live (Austria)

ORF 1 is the first public television channel in Austria. It began its broadcasts on August 1, 1955, when the Österreichischer Rundfunk was created. Three years later, regular service would begin. It has a program for all audiences and is available throughout the national territory.

It is maintained through the income obtained from advertising and the payment of a license by viewers. Initially, it broadcast by satellite with the encoded signal, but since 2006 it also broadcasts on the DVB-T.
